DEMOLSHIED, TOP 5 SPECS |
|
|
 |
This season, the draft takes new heights. The draft comes along with a stud left fielder that is said to be able to eclipse the great George Guzman in obp & take it out of the yard. The 5-5-5-5-5 right hander comes with extensive intelligence & a good work ethic. Here's the top 5;
1. SP Carlos Torres - He gets the nod over Rob Charles because a good hitter only wins 30% of the time. That and how many pitchers have a cutter as good as his. Curve and sliders make him whiff. This guy lead his teams to wins.
2. LF Rob 'Chief' Charles - This guy might get the call to be an indian based purly only his name. The fact that he is 5-5-5-5-5 & smart would have little to do with it. He could very well be a great DH in this league for a long time. He is fairly slow, no defensive skills. But he knows where to park the ball.
3. C Pat Thomson - If Calgary could he would trade up to 3 to take this catcher. He has the skill set to hit a homerun and throw out a guy at second on the same pitch. 5-3-5-4-4 potential but his defense should make him a carrer star.
4. MR Charles Green - The only reason this guy is on the list is because he is a leftie, he is smart, he works hard and is 5-5-4 with a cutter legends are made of.
5. SP Jose Salazar - 4-4-5 with 4-4-4 pitches (Fastball, Slider, Splitter). He is very smart and could even figure out how to k people more. With great control if he can get his fastball by hitters the splitter will finish them off.
All in all the draft looks to be very top heavy. After the top 3-4 players there is not a lot of top tallent. Where Vegas & the Indians go will determine the rest of hte draft.
